polygon art

The strongest technical aspect of this project was my use of the pen tool. I created several different triangles to capture the value of each feature of her portrait. The eye balls required a smaller set of triangles so that the eyes wouldn't just look like giant green triangles. The hair I used the pen tool triangles to have a cascading effect instead of going horizontal. The weakest technical aspect of this project was maybe also my pen tool because it was so hard to get rid of all my slivers of negative space.

The easy part of this assignment was using the eyedropper to select the color of the value for that portion of the body. I had to also make sure that every single triangle could not be the same value as the one next to it. The hardest part of this project was having the patience to keep going. While everyone else was using a simpler image I was struggling to get through each individual segment of her picture.

I accomplished the object of the assignment because I did not let any of the triangles have the same color value and lie next to each other. I also tried to eliminate the negative space as best as possible however I still have some in my project. I also think that my usages of the pen tool triangles created and accurate representation of Rapunzel. If I could change anything about this assignment I might have picked a different photo in the first place so that I could have actually kept my sanity. But, in the end I am actually really relieved and proud of how this turned out.
